It’s Valentine’s Day and women will be glowing with love for all today, There’s a way to keep that same glow on your skin every day after this day of love. I get that extra glow not only from the Glow Pads I have mentioned before, but with Dr.Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid + Retinol Brightening Solution. I’ve tried retinol in the past, but it burned my face and caused some mild breakout. This product, a serum, will not do this. It is gentle yet effective! According to the product label it is a professional strength solution that combats all types of uneven skin tone as well as, eliminating dark spots which are a result of aging and sun damage. I’ve used this product for a little over a year and I can tell that the brown spots on my face are either lighten or eliminated in most cases. There is a similar product that can be used around the eye area in fact, I combine the two. Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum. Just like the serum for the face above, this is a retinol eye serum that prevents and reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity of the eyelid and around the eye while smoothing the texture and tone. My nightly routine consists of cleansing my skin then I use the Alpha Beta Peel Pads we have discussed before. I let my skin dry about 3 minutes and then I apply these two serums, patting the eye serum under my eye and over my eye as well. This will help eliminate the ‘creepy skin’ we tend to get and will make your eye makeup go on smoother in the morning. Don’t use it above your eye in the morning though, as anything you put on your eyelid will slide right off after that. I do use it under my eye in the morning however, and may use it again during the day. I love this product! Some reviews of these products discuss dryness. I have not experienced any of this, however. As with any retinol product just reduce the number of applications if it irritates or dries your skin to the point of flakiness, but DO stick with it and DO moisturize. Eventually you’ll see smoother fresher skin come through. Then when you look into the mirror one morning you will see the brighter new you, even before you put on that smile! Happy Valentine’s Day!
