Dahling… we’ve come a long way!

About 10 years ago I met the namesake of a line of products at a convention she had launched following a movie career. As we were discussing her line of products, I asked her if she had serums or creams that would soften the lines in the neck area or décolleté.  Her reply was simply “ Dahling, creams will not help that area at all – only surgery will do that.”  Well, we’ve come a long way, Baby.  Surgery was not on my bucket list and I am so thankful that research and development of many beauty lines has given us some amazing products that come very close to doing what only a surgical procedure could do for that area of our body in years past.

My dermatologist recommended Revision Skincare’s Nectifirm to me about two years ago as one of her all time favorite products for that creeping skin on our necks as we begin to age.  Five jars later my neck and décolleté area are extremely smooth and much tighter than I had ever imagined. I use it twice a day and I am thrilled with the results of this non-invasive topical wonder cream. Does it take the place of a facelift?  No, this movie diva was right – only surgery can remove that loose skin under the chin, but this really is the next best thing to having that surgery procedure.  I use it on my neck and my décolleté area, always applying in an upward motion up the neck following my serum (Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic Acid + Retinol Brightening Solution mentioned in a previous post).  Nectifirm has a really nice light fragrance, too.  I might mention that Revision Skincare has a full product line, but this is the only product I currently use. However, as a true blue product junkie I may try another in the future – or tomorrow!
