Holiday Skincare

Holidays can be… Fun. Exciting. Exhausting. But, also …Stressful and Sleepless. Oh they can wreck our beauty rituals – especially when it comes to makeup removal.  We are thinking the quicker the better, so we can grab some quick shut eye before another day of  fun, parties, and shopping take over our lives again, right?  Well, I have found two products that not only do it all quick as Santa’s wink, but they are good for our skin, too – True Lash, Lash Enhancing Eye Makeup Remover by Kate Somerville and Kat Von D’s Unlock-it Makeup Remover Wipes.

Kate Somerville’s multi-tasking formula removes eye makeup while it is revitalizing the look of our lashes. True Lash, Lash Enhancing Eye Makeup Remover gently wipes away all kinds of eye makeup – even my waterproof and long-lasting formulas. Product labeling says its lash enhancing peptide enhances natural lashes and promotes volume, which helps create visibly fuller lashes.  Now, here’s the extra – luxurious botanicals are designed to reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines, while nourishing extracts help condition and contour the entire eye area… and it hydrates deeply to smooth out the appearance of crow’s feet and wrinkles.   Allow True Lash to sit for 10 seconds on lids and lashes before wiping off. Use this product at night only because you want the residue to continue to work overnight.

Now Kat Von D’s Unlock-it Makeup Remover Wipes are a staple in my house for traveling and late nights.  These wipes will take care of the rest of your makeup removal quickly.  The wipes are saturated so you won’t have a problem removing all your make up off your face.  I am pretty particular about my evening ritual so I use these as a quick removal tool and time saver on my late nights.  I prefer to rinse the product off my face then add my serums, creams and moisturizers. I think of these as time savers and not a replacement to my evening ritual.

So use a short cut but don’t neglect your skin care during the holidays.  It will show in the form of tired eyes, a zit or two or dry patches.  Start 2015 with a fresh face and …
