Another Friendship Play (with makeup) Date with Karen. So following a scrumptious lunch we visited one of the newest beauty spots at Nordstrom – Murad and met Beauty Advisor, Sharon. She educated us on Murad’s history and philosophy and then the play date began as we delved into Murad’s “beauty bag” filled with new products. Call it Murad 101.
The Murad line offers something for each skin type. Whether you have adult acne, hormonal issues, genetics, pore refining, red pigment therapy or uneven skin tone, there is a product created especially for you. I have to admit, one product – Murad’s Renewing Eye Cream caught my eye and was a surprise – a welcomed surprise to both Karen and myself!
This is not your usual eye cream. This multi-active, anti-aging treatment for the eye area firms, brightens and hydrates to minimize the appearance of aging and dark circles and the Pentapeptide-4 reduces medium-to-deep crow’s feet and diminishes puffiness for a brighter appearance. I noticed the smoothness under my eye almost immediately as I bid farewell to the under eye puffiness.
After cleansing and toning, but before you add your moisturizer, gently pat a small amount onto the brow bone and beneath the eye using your ring finger. (This is your weakest finger and will not ‘stretch’ your delicate eye area.) Press. Press. Press, as you go around your entire eye area. I hope, like me, you will see results of this treatment after your first use and continue to see your skin change in the days and weeks ahead. I use this cream twice a day, however a word of caution on your morning treatment: don’t cover the top of the lid with the cream as your eye shadow will not stay on throughout the day.
As an added bonus, if you are visiting the the Murad Counter at Nordstrom in Dallas Northpark tell Sharon you are a reader of Wrinkle Me Not and she will not only advise you the products that will address your skin’s needs, but provide a free “pick me up facial” so you can see the difference Murad provides.
Make it your own Play Date and educate yourself on skincare so you, too, can stop the aging process ‘Murad Style!”
