Kimono Rose

I love roses – especially pink, though any rose will bring a smile to my face!  But, in saying that, I must add, I really don’t like artificial rose scent.  It’s probably because I smelled nothing BUT rose scent when I visited my grandmother and it was just too much!  Know what I mean?

So!  I was really surprised when I visited a specialty bed and bath boutique recently.  There was display upon display of beautiful soaps, candles and creams among other things and yet one fragrance just captured my senses – Kimono Rose, by Thymes.  It’s one of those fragrances that I want to smell again and again.  I even have a bottle of the cream next to me here at my desk and I take a whiff every so often… It’s calming more like the ‘Calgon take me away’ moment many of you will remember.

Besides being creamy, long-lasting and an uplifting fragrance, it helped to maintain my airbrush tan for almost two weeks, which is actually unheard of in the beauty world.  It has kept my skin from flaking, keeping the moisture locked into my skin.

Thymes has a wonderful product line in and offers 27 fragrances whether you are looking for candles, creams, lotions, bath salts or gift sets. Another offering is their sample bag which gives you the opportunity to select your signature fragrance as well as just plain fun to try something you might otherwise pass up. I was told it makes a lovely guest amenity to keep in your guest bathroom so I plan to add that to my guest rooms.

Thymes is sold in the finest independent specialty stores across the United States and Canada, and in certain international markets. They also have an online store, but of course you can’t ‘sniff’ all the amazing scents on line.. and I do love to sniff the whiffs!  If only they offered scratch and sniff on their online store.  Hmmmmm…Wondering.  Is there an app for that?

I have a tickle in my brain. And it keeps making the corners of my mouth point toward the heavens. ~Jeb Dickerson,
