Chicken Fried What??

Well, I have made my yearly visit to the Great State Fair of Texas, ate my Fletcher’s corny dog, and heard Big Tex’s  booming voice say “Welcome Folks” which I love.  I have also viewed more friend concoctions than I could even imagine – Chicken Fried Meatloaf, Chicken Fried Millionaire Pie, Chicken Fried Mac ‘n Cheese and the most creative Chicken Fried Thanksgiving Dinner.  I remember the days when it was simply visit the fair and take the Pepsi Challenge.  Did you ever do that? The label on the cups of Pepsi and Coke  were cover and people took sips of both and picked the one they liked best.

Well, I did something like that for 5 days a few weeks ago.  I picked up several samples of eye serums at my favorite department store and I told each beauty advisor of my ‘challenge’ to find a serum that would be the best for my puffy eyes.  I only dabble in luxury skincare brands because of the cost.  I know, too, there are many eye serums available that do a great job and many times better than the luxury brands.  However in my recent challenge I chose Chantecaille and La Prairie.

Chantecaille’s Nano Gold Energizing Eye Serum was very good and I did indeed see amazing results within 1 week. The puffiness and lines were reduced dramatically, which was just what I was looking for in my quest.  But! The Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex by La Prairie was like a mini eye lift. It is lightweight and it firms, nourishes and re-energized my eye zone. Product labeling states that it acts as a primer so eye makeup stays in place and the puffiness, which is my main concern, was smoothed in my eye area.

I used Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex in the morning and at night as I did with Chantecaille.  I would dot a little under my eye and apply with light tapping motion from outer corner to inner corner, and towards my hairline to soften those pesky “crow’s feet” wrinkles.

So! After five days I must declare the winner of my Eye Serum Challenge – Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex by La Prairie! Wow! That’s a mouthful and I must say I am still trying to figure out what is a Chicken Fried Thanksgiving Dinner!
